After years of shaping the sound of contemporary gospel music, Karen Clark Sheard is preparing to release her much-anticipated new album, Still Karen. This project brings a refined blend of worship, urban gospel, heartfelt ballads, and her signature vocal excellence—all while revisiting the essence of her beloved classics Finally Karen and Second Chance.
The album comes at a time when demand for her music has reached new heights, especially after several standout moments from The Reunion Tour went viral. Still Karen captures that renewed energy and responds with a deeply personal and musically rich experience.
With production support from long-time collaborators such as Mano Hanes, J Moss, J Drew Sheard II, and Donald Lawrence (serving as A&R consultant), the album maintains Karen’s core sound while also exploring fresh territory. Notably, the project includes creative input from Anthony Brown, Anita Wilson, Charles Jenkins, Kierra Sheard, and Pharrell Williams, who serves as one of the Executive Producers.
Still Karen is more than a return—it is a bold statement of artistic growth, legacy, and relevance. It promises to inspire, uplift, and reaffirm Karen Clark Sheard’s lasting impact on gospel music
Co-Executive Producer of Still Karen and Karew Entertainment label head, J. Drew Sheard II, shares insight into the heart behind the project:
“My goal was to create something that the fans would truly appreciate,” he explains. “I brought together many of the musical legends who have not only inspired me but have also played a key role in Karen Clark Sheard’s journey. I’m excited for listeners to experience both the richness of the music and the message of Jesus Christ through this album.”
He adds,
“This is one of the most versatile albums she has ever recorded. It features a range of styles—from urban gospel and Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) to trap, ballads, worship, gospel funk, and more. It’s a unique body of work that stands apart from anything she has released before.”
Fans can now pre-order Still Karen on all major digital music platforms.
